The Opportunity

We are now looking for a Production Leader for Surge Arresters. At Surge Arresters in Ludvika, we produce and sell surge arresters. New products are developed here, and the markets exist both in Sweden and in other parts of the world. A surge arrester protects against overvoltages and is an essential part of a reliable and energy-efficient power system. Surge Arresters has a high degree of automation with multiple robots, automation processes, electrical testing, process furnaces, fixtures, etc., and we produce around the clock in several sections of production.

We are looking for an engaged Production Leader with strong leadership skills and experience in driving efficient production processes. In the role of Production Leader, you will have the chance to lead the operational work within the designated production section where varying tasks fill your day. Important parts of the job include continuous improvement work, deviation management, operational control, contributing to employee development, ensuring a good work environment, and following up on the company's prioritized workflow with Safety, Quality, Delivery Precision, and Productivity.

The role is based on-site in Ludvika.

How You Will Impact

  • Leading the production team to ensure efficiency and quality in the manufacturing process. Also contributing to ensuring that the right conditions are in place for the production line to follow the company's prioritized workflow (Safety, Quality, Delivery Precision, Productivity)
  • You will actively participate in one of the largest investment projects in Surge Arresters' history, which entails increased responsibility to contribute throughout the process and after the project's completion to ensure the manufacturing process and staffing.
  • Ensuring and following up on the work of a good work environment, both from a physical and psychological perspective.
  • Managing group development and conflicts to promote a positive work climate.
  • Creating conditions and driving the work with continuous development of employees.
  • Implementing LEAN principles for continuous improvement of production processes.

Your Background

  • You have prior experience in a leadership position with personnel responsibility. Experience in the manufacturing industry is an advantage.
  • You have an industrial technical education or equivalent work experience.
  • Good knowledge of safety, quality, and efficiency work in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to lead teams towards set goals and continuous improvements.
  • Use of digital tools such as the Office suite, PowerBI, and ERP systems to optimize production flow.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are driven and engaged, with a strong desire to improve and an ability to motivate others to build a successful team. At the same time, you are quality- and results-focused. You are open and have good communication skills, as well as being structured and analytical.
